Big Free Clock is exactly what its name suggests: a free utility that displays the time in a large format. Although it’s a fairly basic utility, it comes with enough options for customization to make it interesting.
The program’s interface is plain, just a large digital clock with two buttons: one to minimize it, and one to display the options menu. There are quite a few options, too; users can make the background and numbers transparent, change the number color, switch to 24-hour format, and increase and decrease the size of the numbers. Our first impression of Big Free Clock was that it was hard to read; the numbers were tall and skinny and hard to distinguish from each other. This turned out to be a quick fix, though; all we had to do was grab a corner of the interface and drag it to adjust the numbers’ proportions. The program has no Help file, but it’s not really needed, either; all of its features are pretty easy to figure out. Overall, Big Free Clock didn’t offer anything that we hadn’t already seen from similar programs, but we think it’s a fine choice if you’re looking for a basic clock with an adjustable display.
