Editors’ Review
Download.com Staff Feb 27, 2009 Although this basic utility adequately performs its main duty of synchronizing your PC’s clock with the atomic clock, it lacks features found in other clock-enhancement applications. The simple interface displays your PC time, allows you to sync with its default atomic clock with one click, and allows you to change settings. Though we like the option to display the date as the tray icon, we’re disappointed AtomTime Pro doesn’t have the robust options offered by its competitors. The synchronization options are minimal: once; every 3, 6, or 12 hours; at start-up; or not at all. The program does not display a list of available timeservers, instead just offering the option of synching to “default atomic clock servers” or surfing to an “alternate time server.” In short, if you just want a simple, no-frills way to keep your computer clock accurate, AtomTime Pro will do a decent job, but it’s not hard to find more robust utilities.
